To take full advantage of LinkStorm’s automated link insertion feature, you need to install the LinkStorm snippet on your website. This snippet helps LinkStorm place internal links directly into your content as soon as you approve them.
You can install the snippet in a few different ways depending on your website setup, including directly in the header or footer, via Google Tag Manager, or by using a WordPress plugin.
1. Installing the Snippet in the Header or Footer
The easiest way to install the LinkStorm snippet is by placing it directly in the header or footer of your website. This ensures that LinkStorm can access all your content to perform automated link insertion.
Step 1: Copy the LinkStorm snippet code provided to you in your account settings.
Step 2: Access the HTML files of your website through your content management system (CMS) paste the snippet into the
<head>
or<footer>
section of your HTML.Step 3: Verify your code was successfully installed by clicking on "Verify Installation".
Note: If you're comfortable with coding, adding it directly to the HTML is straightforward. For beginners, you may want to consult your developer to avoid any errors.
2. Installing via Google Tag Manager (GTM)
If you use Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage your website tags, you can easily add the LinkStorm snippet as a custom tag.
Step 1: Open your Google Tag Manager account and select the appropriate container for your website.
Step 2: Click on "Add a New Tag".
Step 3: Choose "Custom HTML Tag".
Step 4: Paste the LinkStorm snippet code in the HTML field.
Step 5: Set your trigger to “All Pages” to ensure the snippet runs across your entire website. You tag configuration at this point will look like

Step 7: On the LinkStorm installation page, click on "Verify installation" to verify your code was successfully installed.
Because the snippet has been installed via GTM, you will have to click on "Verify Manually"
